An Introduction

Well, let's get this first post out of the way.

I have a passion for the cosmos. And I'm not just talking about astronomy here. There are few things I love thinking about more than science and history and humanity and how it is all connected. And admittedly, as a working mom of young children, it is often very hard to find the time to satisfy these interests. Except of course, when I find ways to share them with my children.

This blog is about loving science and ideas and sharing that passion with my kids. Sometimes we pick themes and play around with experiments or field studies. Sometimes we do crafts related to science or just to experience how things were done with old technology. Once in a while I'll post about interesting science news, books or ideas that we're hearing about and want to share with others.

And I hope that some of you out there will feel free to chime in on the comments, even if just to say hello.
